SportPDHPE has a high profile at Seven Hills High School. The school is fortunate to have first class facilities that include two ovals, basketball courts, a netball court, cricket nets and a weights/ gym room. During PDHPE classes students learn about health related issues relating to individual community health, self and relationships, lifelong physical activity, movement skill and performance. In practical lessons students engage in a variety of movement including dance, gymnastics, and many types of games and play. For students who wish to study PDHPE further, Seven Hills High offers a Physical Activity and Sports Studies elective in both year 9 and year 10. Seven Hills High School offers students a wide variety of selected sports during an allocated sports session every week. Because the school has excellent sporting facilities students are taught many sports including; Touch, volleyball, fitness/weights, soccer, netball, European handball, cricket, AFL, newcomball, golf, softball, teeball, Austag, flag gridiron, inline hockey, fun sports, basketball, lacross, walla rugby, table tennis and badminton. Students at Seven Hills High school also have the opportunity to participate in Athletics, Swimming and Cross Country carnivals at School, Zone and State levels. In order to experience sporting competition the school field’s numerous sporting teams in various competitions at Blacktown Zone, Sydney West and State level. |
