Students may study graphics for 100 or 200 hours at Seven Hills High. The course is primarily a computer-aided graphics course, reflecting the wholesale shift in industry away from 'setsquares, pencils, drawing boards and rulers'. The main software used by students in these courses incudes Turbocad Professional v10.2.  Students learn basic

  • line drawing,

  • symbol drawing,

  • orthographic drawing,

  • pictorial drawing,

  • architectural and product drawing, and

  • 3D drawing

Students complete a unit of work each semester. Below are three units of work for students undertaking courses using Turbocad. These courses change each year according to the needs of the particular cohort.

Students complete a variety of drawings and some samples are illustrated below.

For many of the drawings students were restricted to one workplane only

2D & 3D drawings completed by year 9 and 10 students
