The
Department of Education and Training has issued a set of procedures for students
who wish to leave school early.
Students
are required to:
Early Leavers - students must have a note to establish
parental consent and a valid reason for them leaving school early. . Please also remind students, that they must
sign-out at the Roll Office when they leave.)

Bring a note from their
parents. A note is required even if the parent is picking up the student
from school.

Notes should
be counter-signed by the Leading teacher or Deputy Principal before students
presenting them to the roll teacher. If there is no counter-signature, the student
must report to DP or LT at recess with their note
which they can pick up from the Roll Office - otherwise they will not be allowed
to leave school when they need to.

The student hands the note
to their Roll Call Teacher during Roll Call who will record their early leave on
the pink slip.

Early Leavers notes will be issued by classroom teachers

Students must sign out
in
the Early Leavers book in the Rolls Office and show their Early leavers note
before they leave the school.

After signing out the Early Leavers note will be issued to
the student.

Students may be asked to produce their Early Leavers note by
the police.

STUDENTS WHO DO NOT SIGN OUT MAY BE TREATED AS
TRUANTS BY THE SCHOOL AND BY THE POLICE.
