Lost Property:

Lost property is kept in the Print Room and may be collected from there . If you find something, take it to the Print Room and hand it to Mrs W. We strongly recommend that all school items (clothing as well as equipment) be clearly labelled with your name so that it can easily be returned to you.

The Canteen:

Our canteen was leased to a private catering company in 2001.

The canteen offers a wide variety of healthy foods and drinks.

The Clinic:

Our "sick bay" is monitored by the ladies from the Rolls Office/Print room.

Students must first report to their Year Adviser for a Clinic Pass then go to the Rolls Office for assistance. Students may not be given Panadol or any other tablets by the clinic. In cases where students are very ill, they may be given permission to go home  but only after the school has obtained the consent of their parents or guardians.

Students who need to take medication during school hours need to bring the medication to the Admin. Office with written instructions regarding the quantity and times of doses. The student's Year Adviser also need to be aware of these details so that follow-up, if needed, can be efficient.

No medication (except asthma spray) is to be carried by students ‑ this includes Panadol & Aspirin.

When you need to pay money:

All money that needs to be paid at school (e.g. voluntary contributions, excursion costs etc) should be taken straight to the Admin Office in the morning. If a student does not manage to pay before the 8.40am bell, they should return to the office at recess. Students should not carry large amounts of money on them .All money paid to the school will be receipted.

These should be left at home:

Walk-mans, Discmans, portable cassette & CD players, computer games,  ipods and other hand held games, mobile phones (except in emergencies and then only under the conditions described above), skateboards, blades, anything that is not necessary to your class work! The school will not be responsible for the loss or damage to any unessential items brought by students.

The School Grounds:

Our school grounds are huge (22 acres) and all areas of the school cannot be supervised at recess and lunchtimes. For the safety and security of our students, we insist they stay within the designated areas . Students have been provided with shade areas, tables and seats and grassed play areas.

School Diary.

Students are given a Seven Hills High School Diary at the start of the year. Students are expected to use this Diary to record and organise their Homework and Assignment The Diary contains lots of useful information about the school and can be used as a means of communication between home and school.

Variation to normal school routine

This happens occasionally when whole school or whole Year programs are undertaken or when excursions, scripture or special presentations by visiting groups are organised. Parents will always be notified in writing, in advance, of any changes to routine. Any concerns or questions are welcomed and should be directed to the organising teacher.

School Newsletter .

The School Newsletter is published once a month and is sent home by mail. It always contains items of interest and is a great way of finding out about what is happening in our school. Advertising space is also available in the School Newsletter for a small fee.

Push bikes 1 Skateboards / Blades etc... Students who ride their bikes to school may lock them in the Bike Bay during the day. (Students need to bring their own chain and padlock). Students who ride bikes are reminded that they must wear a helmet ‑the law requires this. Skateboards and blades should not be ridden to school. Beside the safety issues related to this, we have no facilities to safely secure the boards and blades during the day. Students are not permitted to carry them around with them during the day (for reasons of convenience to the student and safety to others). Please do not bring these to school.

Travel Arrangements

Travel Passes: Application forms for train and bus passes are available from Room 9. Please check your home location on the special map in Room 9 to see if you are eligible for a bus pass. The school will advertise the arrival of bus and train passes and they can be collected at Recess or Lunch from the Print Room.

If a student loses their train or bus pass they must contact the relevant bus or transport authority immediately to organise the re-issue of the pass. An administrative charge may need to be paid to cover this. Travel passes may be confiscated by authorities if misused or if student behaviour is not of the highest standard.

Push bikes: Students who ride bikes to and from school must wear safety helmets. Bikes are to be parked in the special bay provided outside the main office. A bike chain is the owner's responsibility. Skateboards: (as well as scooters and roller-blades) are banned due to safety and security reasons.
